Universitario y la DOS GRANDES motivaciones para ganar a Botafogo en Brasil

Tras vencer a Unión Comercio en Tarapoto, Universitario viajó a Río de Janeiro con las maletas cargadas de ilusión para enfrentar a Botafogo por la fecha 3 de la Copa Libertadores 2024. El cuadro dirigido por Fabián Bustos tiene dos grandes motivaciones de cara al partido. Uno es seguir soñando con el pase a octavos, ¿y el otro? Aquí te contamos.

Como es de conocimiento público, Universitario ganó en su debut contra Liga de Quito con gran actuación de José Rivera, quien marcó un doblete y será el gran ausente del choque contra el ‘Fogao’ a raíz de una luxación en el hombro izquierdo. Ante ello, Álex Valera será el “9” de Bustos en el ataque.

En la segunda fecha de la fase de grupos, el cuadro ‘crema’ rescató un punto de oro en su visita a Barranquilla contra Junior, en un partido con muchas polémicas sobre todo por el gol anulado a Valera. Aldo Corzo marcó para los ‘merengues’ en aquel encuentro.

La primera motivación que tendrá el cuadro dirigido por Bustos es sumar tres puntos más en el Grupo D y que el objetivo de clasificar a los octavos de final esté cada vez más cerca, puesto que lograrían siete unidades.

El segundo guarda relación con el aspecto económico. ¿Cómo así? La CONMEBOL paga a los clubes un bono por cada victoria consecutiva en la fase de grupos, lo que es conocido popularmente como “premio al mérito deportivo”.

Este “incentivo” es de 330 mil dólares y, sin duda alguna, caería bien a los ingresos del club y una parte a los bolsillos de los jugadores. La ‘U’ ya cobró dicho monto ante LDU Quito y ahora va por otra ‘alegría’ contra Botafogo.
