In its Twitter account, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), which has played a key role in boosting the UN to adopt the TPNW and was presented with the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize, informed Honduras as the 50th state country to ratify the TPNW, triggering entry into force and making history.
UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres says the TPNW to come into force is the culmination of a worldwide movement to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons.
