UGC-NET 2024 rescheduled to avoid clash with UPSC CSE prelims
After receiving the requests and feedback of candidates, the National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18, 2024 (Tuesday). NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification, as per a post on ‘X’ by the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar.
UPSC CSE is scheduled to held on June 16 and was clashing with UGC NET.
The application process has already started and the last date to apply is May 10.
This time, the candidates who are pursuing four year/8 semester bachelor’s degree programme and are in their last semester/year can also apply. As per Mamidala, the eligibility includes candidates having passed a four-year or eight-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75 per cent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
