OnePlus is all set to launch its new flagship, the OnePlus 12 series, on January 12. The launch will unveil the new OnePlus 12 and 12R, along with the OnePlus Buds 3. These devices have already been launched in China, so we can expect similar specifications for the Indian market. The possible price of the OnePlus 12 has already been leaked online, offering a tantalising glimpse into what OnePlus has in store.

OnePlus 12 specifications
The OnePlus 12 China variant is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which ensures high-performance functionality and efficient handling of AI tasks. The phone offers up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, providing ample space for multitasking and content storage.
In terms of display, the OnePlus 12 features a large 6.82-inch display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, promising a visually immersive experience. The display utilises LTPO AMOLED panel technology, offering vibrant colours and deep contrasts. With a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, it offers outdoor visibility and supports Dolby Vision, 10-bit Colour Depth, and ProXDR, earning it a DisplayMate A+ certification for top-tier quality.
The camera system of OnePlus 12 is fine-tuned by Hasselblad, including a triple rear setup. This consists of a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens supporting 3x telephoto capabilities. For selfies and video calls, the device integrates a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The OnePlus 12 houses a 5,400mAh battery, supporting 100W fast charging through the USB-C port, with the capability to reach from 0 to 100 percent battery in just 26 minutes. The device also reintroduces rapid wireless charging at 50W, providing users with a convenient charging option.
Operating on Android 14 with a customised OxygenOS 14 interface, the software experience of the OnePlus 12 is also tailored for efficiency and a clean user interface.
OnePlus 12R specifications
The OnePlus 12R features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 1.5K resolution. The speculated peak brightness of 4,500 nits ensures exceptional outdoor visibility, providing users with a vibrant and immersive visual experience.
For power, the OnePlus 12 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM; users can expect smooth multitasking, and the expansive 1TB UFS 4.0 storage option ensures ample space for storing data and applications.
The OnePlus 12R is rumoured to boast a versatile triple camera setup on the rear. This includes a high-resolution 50MP main lens for detailed photography, an 8MP ultrawide lens for capturing expansive scenes, and a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots. For selfies and video calls, the device is expected to feature a 16MP front-facing camera, enhancing the user’s photography and video communication experience.
Under the hood, the device is expected to house a big 5500mAh battery, to provide extended usage between charges. The device is also said to come equipped with rapid 100W SuperVOOC fast charging technology through the USB Type-C port, allowing users to quickly replenish the battery and stay connected throughout the day.
OnePlus 12 series price
The OnePlus 12 series is expected to launch soon in India, and some leaks have revealed the possible pricing of the flagship smartphones. The OnePlus 12 is expected to be priced at Rs 69,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, which is lower than the Chinese price of CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 50,700) for the same model.
The OnePlus 12R, which is a slightly toned-down version of the OnePlus 12, is likely to be priced even lower, but no exact details have been revealed yet. Both the OnePlus 12 and 12R will be available for purchase on Amazon India.
OnePlus Buds 3 specifications
OnePlus has already revealed the battery and charging features of the OnePlus Buds 3. The company announced on X that these earbuds will provide 44 hours of playback on a full charge. Additionally, the earbuds boast fast charging capabilities, offering 7 hours of listening time with just a 10-minute charge.
The variant launched in China aligns with these battery features. The Buds 3 delivers 6.5 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC activated, and the charging case extends the total playback time by 28 hours.
The OnePlus Buds 3 are also reported to be equipped with advanced features to enhance the audio experience. The earbuds feature three microphones and boast a low latency of 94ms, minimising delays. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) further improves audio quality in various settings. LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res Audio technology is employed for superior sound quality. The earbuds also offer convenient touch controls for music and volume management. OnePlus has integrated 3D surround sound and Dynamic Bass in its next-generation Buds 3, elevating the auditory experience.
OnePlus Buds 3 price in India
The price of the earbuds in India is still unknown, but we can make a guess based on the price of the Buds 3 in China. The OnePlus Buds 3 debuted in China at CNY 499, which is roughly Rs 5,800 in Indian currency. The earbuds might have a similar price range in India as well.
