Two poachers were arrested by the members of the forest guards from Dimrchar area of Sndabans under Sharankhola Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) in Sunday.
At that time the forest guards recovered 16 kgs venison, a mechanized boat, 150 traps (for catching deer) and 250 feet long thread of nylon. The arrested poachers are Md, Mizan (45), son of one Habibr Rahman of village Charlathimara under Patharghata Upazila in Barguna district and Idris Ali (44), son of one Ratan Ali of village Karamjatla under the same Upazila. The arrested poachers have already been sent to the court after lodging a case against them with the local PS under Forest Act.
