Cervical cancer usually grows slowly. Quality of life depends on the stage it is diagnosed and treated. Almost 100% of women with cervical cancer confined to the outer layer of the cervix are cured. Women with cancer that grows but stays localized have a very good chance for cure and a “normal” quality of life. Cancer that has spread locally or to distant areas will impact quality of life.
