The Attorney General of Texas is giving up his battle against four whistle-blowers who were fired from his office.
The former employees sued, claiming they were improperly dismissed after reporting concerns to the FBI about Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s possible misconduct.
Paxton has been fighting the case but was recently ordered by a judge to provide a deposition in the matter by February 9th. That would have meant answering questions about the accusations under oath.
Paxton now says he’s dropping his opposition to the whistleblower lawsuit because it’s a distraction and a waste of taxpayer money. It also means he won’t have to testify.
