De studentprotester mot Gazakriget som sker över hela USA är långt värre än den kritiserade demonstrationen i Charlottesville 2017, hävdar Donald Trump.

– Charlottesville var en liten jordnöt och ingenting mot den sortens hat vi nu ser, sa Trump när han mötte reportrar utanför rättssalen i New York på torsdagen, enligt Axios.

Flera hundra vit makt-anhängare tågade genom Charlottesville 2017 och skanderade slagord. En av dem körde en bil in i en motdemonstration, vilket ledde till en kvinnas död.

I efterspelet fick dåvarande president Trump mycket kritik för att han sa att det fanns ”många fina människor på båda sidor”.
