HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — abc27 news recently received early sketch plans for a new Wawa that may be opening soon in Hershey.

abc27 news reported last week when a spokesperson with Wawa first confirmed their intention to open a new location on Cocoa Avenue at Fishburn Road in Hershey.
“[Wawa is] actively looking for and working toward sites in the market including Cocoa Avenue at Fishburn Road,” Wawa’s spokesperson told abc27 news.
Following a Right To Know request submission, abc27 received sketch plans of this new Wawa location, which could be constructed on 1245 Cocoa Avenue. According to the submitted sketch plans, this new Wawa would be 5,585 square feet in size and would feature 44 parking spaces along with 16 pump spaces.

Most recently, abc27 news reported that a new Wawa was slated to eventually open in York County on 4545 West Market Street, right off Route 30, according to a Facebook post by TRUE Commercial Real Estate.
This newly announced prospect in Hershey comes after Wawa shared their plans to expand across the Midstate back in a 2022 press release. Specifically, this release outlined the company’s plan to add about 40 new locations throughout Central Pennsylvania over the next 3 to 5 years.
