UK To Host Young African Talents At Arts Festival

Young people from African countries will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in African traditional music, dance, arts and cuisines at the Media Interface Arts Festival in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

The organisers of the talent hunt, Media Interface, through Bolaji Bello, told Daily Trust that over 30,000 African culture enthusiasts from around the globe would converge on Wolverhampton to experience the thrills of the continent’s colourful African traditional music, dance, art and cuisines in August this year.

He said that the event, tagged: ‘WaBiaZo Fest, Ceeyah Limited’, was a festival aimed at celebrating the diversity and richness of African culture and bringing people together in a unique way.

‘Attendees can look forward to renowned Afrobeat artistes, British and Bollywood music artistes, cultural performances, traditional dance troupes, masquerade parades, art exhibitions and a range of delicious African cuisines like jollof, suya, moi moi, egusi, akara and much more.

‘This festival is expected to attract 30,000 attendees from all walks of life from 23rd to 25th August, 2024, at East Park, Wolverhampton, and promises to be a showcase of talent and African pride; a platform for up-and-coming artists, musicians and performers.

‘Through this festival, Ceeyah is also providing African children in the diaspora a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate their cultural heritage.

‘There will also be dances from Ekombi, Koroso, Bata and Atilogwu dance troupes with colourful masquerade parades.’
