Pippa Middleton showed off her very toned physique as she enjoyed a beach day with her husband James Matthews and their children in the Caribbean.

The mother-of-three, 40, wore a white bikini with gold embellishment for her day out at Eden Rock beach, which is owned by her husband’s family, in St Barts.

The Princess of Wales’ younger sister tied her long brown hair in a bun and teamed her bikini with a pair of rounded tortoiseshell sunglasses.

The hands-on mother wore minimal accessories for her family day out – simply opting for a white watch that matched her bikini.

Pippa and James, who wed in May 2017, looked every inch the doting parents to their children Arthur, five, Grace, two, and Rose, one.

Pippa was seen running around on the sand after her daughters before then diving into the sea with her son. She was also seen delightedly picking up her daughter in the water too.

Meanwhile, James – who is older brother to Made in Chelsea star Spencer – was pictured happily walking into the water with one of their girls.

The father-of-three looked dapper in a pair of palm tree-printed swimming trunks.

Later on, Pippa was seen lying back on a diving board with her son before going for a dip without her children.

The Matthews family owns the Eden Rock resort on St Barts, one of the region’s most exclusive hotels. Stars including Elton John, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have stayed at the resort.

James’s parents, David and Jane Matthews, moved to St Barts in September 1995 after purchasing Eden Rock from local adventurer Rémy de Haenen.

Pippa’s outing today comes after the Princess of Wales’ ‘successful’ planned abdominal surgery more than three weeks ago.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported last week that the mother-of-three ‘is on the mend’.

In a clear sign of her improvement, she was able to join her husband, Prince William, and their three children as they set off for a half-term holiday on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where the King is also convalescing.

‘Catherine is recovering well,’ a friend said. ‘She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William.’

The Princess, 42, was discharged 12 days ago from the London Clinic, where she had spent almost two weeks.

In the only Kensington Palace statement about her health, a spokesman said on January 17 that, ‘based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter’.

The spokesman did not provide details about the nature of her surgery, but sources briefed that it was not for cancer.

Since leaving hospital, without being photographed, Catherine has been at Adelaide Cottage, the family’s four-bedroom home at Windsor Home Park.

Her children, Prince George, ten, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, all attend Lambrook school a 15-minute drive away in Berkshire. They broke up for a week’s half-term holiday on Friday.

Earlier this week, Kate and Pippa’s brother James shared a glimpse of his ‘adventure’ with his son Inigo, wife Alizee Thevenet and their dogs – but also made no mention of his sister’s surgery.

Taking to Instagram, the father-of-one, 36, who announced the birth of his firstborn in October 2023, posted a clip from his recent skiing holiday.

In the video, the Ella & Co founder could be seen making his way through the snow while baby Inigo was pulled along in a specially equipped pram.
