Former USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch wasn’t out of a job for long.
Grinch, 43, saw his time under Lincoln Riley and with the USC Trojans come to an end this offseason. The Trojans had a wildly disappointing season, finishing 8-5 on the season.
Grinch has since found a new job. The 43-year-old defensive backs coach is joining Luke Fickell’s staff at Wisconsin.
The Badgers are hiring Grinch to be their new safeties coach.
“Former USC defensive coordinator and safeties coach Alex Grinch is set to be named the new Wisconsin’s safeties coach, a source tells @On3sports,” Pete Nakos reports.
Alex Grinch struggled as defensive coordinator during his past two stops at Oklahoma and USC. However, there’s no denying his secondaries came away with plenty of interceptions.
Expectations are high for Fickell and Co., meanwhile, out there in Madison entering the 2024 campaign.
