Former College GameDay contributor David Pollack remains glued to football and all the events that come with it. So, naturally, his eyes were locked on the NFL scouting combine this weekend.
Throughout the weekend, Pollack took to social media to spotlight three players in particular that caught his eye. To no surprise, two are former Georgia Bulldogs. The first is college football star tight end Brock Bowers.
Pollack argues Bowers’ resume speaks for itself and the combine tests don’t have much substance to them with a player like Brock.
“Brock Bowers put his Indy workout on tape a few years early,” Pollack said.
Pollack also loved what he saw from former Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey.
“Slicker than grits,” said Pollack.
The final player Pollack shouted out on social media was none other than now-NFL combine legend Xavier Worthy. The former Texas wide receiver ran the 40-yard dash in 4.21 seconds, 0.01 seconds faster than the previous record held by John Ross.
“This is just stupid, @XavierWorthy,” Pollack said.
Bowers, McConkey and Worthy are all expected to be high draft picks in April. Pollack’s endorsement no doubt helps boost their respective NFL Draft stocks.
