Today on Pinstripe Alley – 5/5/24
While they’re still not firing on all cylinders, the Yankees have bounced back from an uneven trip to Baltimore. They’ve won two in a row, and the offense has shown signs of life over their last nine innings. A sweep of Detroit today would push them to 10 games above .500, a new high watermark for the season, and they’ll send Nestor Cortes to the mound in support of that effort.
In the morning, check out Madison’s review of Saturday’s AL action, as well as Kevin’s entry in the 1999 Yankees diary, featuring an important performance from Andy Pettitte. Later, Nick Power will analyze Carlos Narvaez, the Yankees’ presumed third catcher, and John will take his weekly spin through Yankees social media.
