Expert opinion from Sanju Sarangan

Pulmonary hypertension usually causes severe dyspnea in a patient. This, over time, causes right ventricular failure in the patient. Right ventricular failure presents itself with chest pain, which ultimately arises due to subendocardial hypo perfusion due to increased oxygen demand by the myocardia and stress to the right ventricular wall. This only happens when there is a pulmonary artery enlargement. Hence, yes. It can be a symptom and present together.

True, but not as a symptom. In reality, pulmonary artery enlargement is a computed tomography finding that has been linked to pulmonary hypertension. In this population, it appears to be a prognostic factor for pulmonary hypertension associated with poor survival.
