Einár war trotz seiner erst 19 Jahre einer der bekanntesten Musiker in Schweden. Nun ist er erschossen worden – nächste Woche hätte er gegen Mitglieder einer Gang aussagen sollen.

Und wieder ein Toter, mitten in Stockholm. Ein junger Mann, erschossen unweit seiner Wohnung in Hammarby Sjöstad, einem einstigen Industrieviertel, das sich zum schicken Wohnort am Wasser entwickelt hat. Als die Polizei am Tatort eintraf, spät in der Nacht zum Freitag, da lebte er offenbar noch, aber war nicht mehr zu retten.

Diesmal ist der Schock in der schwedischen Hauptstadt noch grösser als sonst: Der Tote ist Einár, ein Rapper. Einer der bekanntesten Musiker Schwedens. Jemand, der es in nur zwei Jahren geschafft hatte: vom Jugendheim in die Charts. Am Freitag kondolierten der Ministerpräsident und die Präsidenten fast aller Parteien. «Die Jagd nach den Mördern ist jetzt in vollem Gange», versprach Innenminister Mikael Damberg. Der Zeitung «Aftonbladet» berichteten Augenzeugen, die Täter hätten aus 1,5 Metern Distanz geschossen, es habe ausgesehen wie eine «Hinrichtung».

Der Durchbruch gelang Einár 2019, da stellte er seinen Song «Katten i trakten» (Die Katze in der Nachbarschaft) auf Spotify. Im selben Jahr noch war er in Schweden der auf Spotify am meisten gestreamte Künstler. Der 17-Jährige liess Weltstars wie Billie Eilish und Ed Sheeran hinter sich. Die folgenden zwei Jahre regnete es Auszeichnungen. «Rap wurde in den letzten Jahren zum beliebtesten Pop-Genre in Schweden», sagte der Moderator Petter Hallén der Zeitung «Dagens Nyheter DN». «Und Einár war ein grosser Teil dieser Entwicklung.»

Jahrelanger Kampf gegen den massiven Anstieg der Bandenkriminalität

Einár, Sohn einer Schauspielerin, war in Stockholm als Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg zur Welt gekommen. Sein 17. Lebensjahr verbrachte er zum Teil in einem Erziehungsheim. «Die Polizei und das Jugendamt sehen in mir das unartige Kind», sagte er einmal. Sein erster Hit erzählte von der Liebe, aber in anderen Songs ging es um Gewalt, Waffen, Drogen und die Flucht vor der Polizei. Eine Kritikerin nannte Einárs Musik «Gangster-Rap in einer sanften Variante». Seine Texte seien mehr als nur Rapper-Gehabe, sagte er selbst 2019 der Zeitung «Aftonbladet»: «Vielleicht nicht gerade, dass ich selbst dastehe mit einer Glock-Pistole und Leute erschiesse – aber es gibt 16-Jährige in unserer Gesellschaft, die genau das tun.» Darüber müsse man reden.

Tatsächlich kämpft Schweden seit Jahren schon mit einem massiven Anstieg der Bandenkriminalität – es ist das einzige Land Europas, in dem die Anzahl tödlicher Schiessereien in den vergangenen 20 Jahren signifikant angestiegen ist.

Kurz vor dem Prozess ermordet

Der Mord an Einár geschah eine Woche vor einem Prozess, bei dem der Rapper hätte aussagen sollen: Er war im April vergangenen Jahres entführt, geschlagen und erpresst worden von einer Gang, offensichtlich hatten auch konkurrierende Rapper mitgemacht bei der Entführung.

Einárs letzte Single wurde vor einer Woche veröffentlicht, im Refrain heisst es: «Bruder, ich schicke zwölf Schüsse / viele hier, die schon gestorben sind / Bruder, du musst vorsichtig sein, wenn du hier in Stockholm lebst, pow, pow, pow».

Einár wurde 19 Jahre alt.
