The 323 square foot property in Hackney, north London, boasts modern decor and a clean, minimalist appearance – but has been likened to a ‘fancy’ outbuilding.

He joked: ‘Not an overpriced beach hut. But a one bed property for sale in London that looks like a fancy shed, £429,950, (£1,331/sq ft). It looks nice for a flat but that price is mad.’

One social media commenter who noticed the property, Dee May, said: ‘I cycle past that place every day on my way home from work! 

‘Even by Hackney standards that price is mind blowing. Yeah it’s tiny.’
