Political parties in Uttar Pradesh have started preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in 2022.
Meanwhile, during the Ashirwad rally organised in Fatehpur Sikri in Agra today, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary appealed to the people to overthrow the Yogi government.
Addressing the public, Jayant said that the people of the state have made up their minds to overthrow the BJP government. The people of the state are fed up with false promises and now the time has come to overthrow this government.
In the presence of thousands of farmers gathered in the meeting, Jayant hit out at BJP calling the government anti-farmer. He said that farmers in the country and the state are facing problems but instead of giving relief to the farmers, the BJP government is increasing their troubles.
Jayant Chaudhary said that by bringing a new law in electricity supply, BJP has completely ruined the farmers. He said, “Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi have sold the government to Tata and Ambani, so businessmen get the benefit of everything.”
Jayant said that if the Rashtriya Lok Dal government is formed in Uttar Pradesh in 2022, then the previous electricity bill of the farmers will be completely waived, and the electricity bill will be taken from the farmers at half the rate.
In response to a question, Jayant said that Rs 12,000 crore would be invested in the food processing industry in Agra. “The government will buy the potatoes of the farmers and after buying, it will distribute potatoes along with ration to the Antyodaya cardholders,” said Jayant.
Denying an alliance with any party in 2022, Jayant said that if Rashtriya Lok Dal workers agree, only then an alliance can be made with the Samajwadi Party in 2022, otherwise, the party will contest elections in the entire state on its own.
