Former Labor senator calls for prison sentences to those who have illegally doxxed someone
“What’s happened to the 600 Jewish people and their families is inexcusable,” Ms Peris told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“If this is illegal to have occurred … this is inciting racial hatred, it’s inciting pain and violence … I would call for a prison sentence.”
Mr Albanese has confirmed his government will support a proposal to make doxxing illegal.
This comes after the private information of hundreds of Jewish Australian artists and creatives were published.
