“One World, Many Voices reveals what young people are truly capable of achieving when they work together,” says Alex Gartner, artistic and executive director for the Pensacola Children’s Chorus, in a press release. “This concert invites our audience to witness the power of raw, real music. Entertainment comes not from flashy lights or costumes, but from a feast for the ears as audiences delight in the sonic capabilities of the human voice.”

As the name suggests, “One World, Many Voices” will transport the audience around the world featuring music in a multitude of languages, including Spanish, Latin, Malay, Kwangali, Akan, and Twi. Singers will enliven the stage with fresh, exciting arrangements of familiar folk tunes, children’s stories and beautiful hymns. These worldly selections will be interspersed with songs containing uplifting messages, and themes of hope and harmony.

“This season in life has been challenging for everyone, but perhaps most for our young people,” Gartner said. “Our goal, especially with this concert – and for all of our programs – is to use music to remind our singers and community that a brighter tomorrow awaits those who seize it. It’s one that’s built upon reaching across differences and finding commonalities. It’s about building bridges and recognizing the value in every person. There is no better place to be inspired by the future leaders of tomorrow than at One World, Many Voices.”

Musical theatre fans will recognize “Children Will Listen” by the late Stephen Sondheim, and several selections will feature First Baptist Church’s beautiful organ. Audiences will hear classical, jazz and everything in between.

Tickets for festival seating range from $15-$29. Handicap and close-proximity VIP seating sections are available. The performance will also be streamed. For tickets and more information, visit www.PensacolaSings.org.
