The differences between coffee consumption and the risk of gout are limited, however, what is observed is that in the long-term coffee consumption is related to a lower incidence of gout. Coffee consumption leads to a significant reduction in uric acid, and this can be a protective factor. There is no restricted amount of coffee to be consumed for those with gout. But it is important to always have moderation, 2 to 3 cups a day is enough.

No, coffee may be beneficial for gout. Coffee is a natural stimulant and increases your heart rate which may help to actively excrete uric acid more efficiently. Try to avoid high levels of added sugar to your coffee, especially high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) which may increase levels of purines.
