The Philadelphia Eagles are prepping for the 2024 NFL Draft this week, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone is general manager Howie Roseman once again gets busy on the phones.
“I like the trades, I like the trades,” Roseman said. “ … I think it’s just a very special time of year. It’s a lot of fun. I like talking to the other teams in the league and trying to figure out if there are opportunities to work together. I like doing that. I love picking players. I love calling those guys.”
In the latest seven-round mock draft from The Athletic, that’s exactly what Roseman does.

This mock has Philly snagging some much-needed talent to its secondary at pick No. 22 overall by selecting versatile Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean in the first round.
After that, the site projects the Eagles to trade pick No. 50 and a 2026 fourth-round pick and a swap of No. 120 for No. 123 to Texans for pick No. 42.
And with pick No. 42, the Eagles land record-breaking Texas Longhorns receiver Xavier Worthy to pair alongside A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Worthy broke the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine with a time of 4.21.

In this scenario, the Eagles trade No. 53 to the Arizona Cardinals for picks 71 and 90.
Round 4, Pick No. 101 – Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB, Clemson
Eagles trade pick No. 123 from the Texans and their own picks of 161 and 171 to the Carolina Panthers for pick No. 101.
