Three Derbyshire restaurants listed within top 100 'most romantic restaurants in the UK'
The Dovecote restaurant at Morley Hayes was a firm addition to the list
Three Derbyshire restaurants have been named among the top 100 ‘most romantic restaurants in the UK’ following a national study. The list has been compiled by online booking service, Open Table, which has used more than 1.1 million customer reviews to form the shortlist.
Derbyshire’s three additions to the list explore a range of different cuisines and are dotted around the county – meaning you’re probably not far away from one of the trustworthy trio. A Tavola Gastronomia Siciliana in New Mills, Stones Restaurant in Matlock and The Dovecote Restaurant in Morley Hayes have all been noticed by Open Table and represent the county on the list.
A Tavola Gastronomia Siciliana is the third restaurant opened by award-winning chef Alessio Muccio and offers a range of pasta, gelato and pastries which are all made on-site using traditional Sicilian recipes. A spokesperson for the restaurant has said: “Our restaurant is small & cosy and adorned with Sicilian artefacts, it’s a little slice of Sicily here in the High Peak.
