This Porsche is going after wrong tuning

Techart turns this Porsche Targa 4 into a police car to hunt for illegal and unsafe tuning. So watch out when you head for the Nürburgring with that cake server on the back.

tuning

Aftermarket parts are more accessible than ever. Where in the past you mainly had to make your move at trade fairs, over time shops such as Halfords also started offering parts to ‘beautify’ your car. But also through Chinese online providers such as Aliexpress you can refresh your car for a relatively small amount.

Safety

The quality of the aftermarket goodies can therefore vary enormously. From cheap counterfeit junk to wind tunnel tested carbon canards that cost thousands of euros. With the difference in quality, safety is also an issue. After all, you don’t want your spoiler to suddenly come loose on the highway or your front splitter to amputate the legs of the pedestrian you overlooked…

Campaign

To make people aware of the possible consequences of illegal and unsafe tuning accessories, Techart has made a special Porsche 911 Targa 4 in a Polizei livery. In collaboration with the German police and the TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative, Techart will use this Targa at various trade fairs to promote safe and responsible tuning. So you don’t have to worry about seeing it in your mirrors on the Autobahn.

Police Porsche

This 911 is equipped with the necessary aftermarket parts. The car is equipped with the Techart Aerokit, which includes a front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and a spoiler. Of course all tested in the wind tunnel, so safe. The car is also 40 mm lower due to the Techart Sport Springs and the thick Techart Formula V rims complete the look. The flashing lights have not been forgotten and the interior has received some minor visual adjustments.

You can see this Porsche with your own eyes until December 5 at the Essen Motorshow in Germany.
