Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance is now available for pre-orders across PC and the last two console generations, with its newly surfaced listings also offering a detailed look at the contents of the game’s Deluxe Edition. The standard and premium versions of Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance will be priced at $59.99 and $69.99, respectively.
The fifth numbered entry in Atlus’s apocalyptic demon-taming series originally debuted as a Switch exclusive in November 2021. Following years’ worth of rumors about an enhanced edition of the RPG, that game was finally revealed in the form of Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance on February 21.

SMT5: Vengeance Physical Release Is Limited to 3 Platforms
A week later, SMT5: Vengeance is now up for pre-orders via all major storefronts. While the enhanced edition of the game will be available on every contemporary console and PC from day one, its physical release will be limited to the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch versions. This turn of events isn’t particularly surprising, not least because Sony and Microsoft’s last-gen consoles are over a decade old at this point. But given how the PS4 version of Persona 3 Reload did get a physical release in early February, some fans were still hoping for Atlus and Sega to extend that treatment to Vengeance.
Only the Standard Edition of the game will be available as a boxed copy. The differences between this version and the $10 more expensive Digital Deluxe Edition aren’t massive, but the latter does come with several notable additions that can make the overall gameplay experience a bit easier, especially early on. One of them is a trio of items for increasing the spawn rates of various Mitama demons that can help farm Macca, EXP, and Glory points used for unlocking Miracles in SMT5: Vengeance. Some early-game AoE and multi-target heals are also part of the package, albeit only available as pre-order bonuses.

Beyond that, the Digital Deluxe Edition of SMT5: Vengeance will also expand the RPG’s selection of Subquests with two new missions: Sakura Cinders of the East and Holy Will and Profane Dissent. Both will allow players to battle and recruit one new demon each. Based on Atlus’s track record with enhanced rereleases, these quests are likely to become available fairly early in the game. All previously released Shin Megami Tensei 5 DLC packs will be included in both editions.
