KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the International Firefighters’ Day, the King and Queen of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, have conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to all members of the Fire and Rescue Department for their service and devotion to the country.
Their Majesties, in a Facebook post, expressed their appreciation for the services rendered by all members of the department in carrying out their duties with full dedication.
International Firefighters’ Day is observed on May 4 every year.
This year’s celebration featured the theme “Firefighters the Pillar of National Rescue”.
In ALOR GAJAH yesterday, His Majesty graced the Aidilfitri open house hosted by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh at his residence in Kampung Pulau.
Sultan Ibrahim was accompanied by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka, Tun Mohd Ali Rustam.
His Majesty was greeted upon arrival at 3pm by Ab Rauf and his wife Datin Seri Zuriyah Ab Aziz.
