Dana White claims he’s beaten Eddie Hearn to stage first combat sport show at new venue
Dana White has stated that he’ll beat Eddie Hearn to become the first combat sport promoter to stage an event at the impressive Sphere in Las Vegas.
Located in Paradise, Nevada, a short distance from the famous Vegas strip, the impressive venue is set to host a number of major shows moving forward.
With boxing and UFC both holding huge influence in Las Vegas, it was inevitable that both sports would eventually end up at the Sphere.
Vegas has long played host to some of the most memorable fights inside the ring and the octagon, and the Sphere looks set to be the next major fight venue.
Hearn has staged numerous shows in Vegas, and although he’d like to be the first promoter to stage a fight card at the Sphere, White may have beaten him to it.
UFC 306 is set to be staged at the Sphere in September, and that means that White may have just stolen the march on his boxing counterpart after speaking at the UFC 300 press conference..
