Supersports, Thailand's No. 1 sporting goods store under Central Retail, is celebrating its 24th anniversary with the Celebrate Our Heroes campaign to express gratitude to all those who have been unyielding in the fight against COVID-19. The company will be offering big promotions to drive sales through in-store and online channels responding to the new normal lifestyle and building on its omni-channel strategy that provides a consumer-centreed and seamless shopping platform.

Mr. Tony Morton, President of CRC Sports Co., Ltd., under Central Retail said, “The ongoing situation continues to keep us all on our toes. If this was a sport, the winners would be those individuals that can adapt to the changing situations and still beat their targets to achieve victory. We have all seen many examples of people who have overcome many hurdles during the pandemic and shown real grit and fighting spirit.

Despite the pandemic which has profoundly affected our lives, we found that people remain focused on keeping fit and healthy, to be ready for any situation. This can be seen in the performance of our sales channels in Q2/2021. SuperSports’ social commerce channels grew by 13% from chat and online shopping, shopping via Facebook Live, and our personal shopping assistant service by phone or video calls. These are hugely important results pointing to the strength of our seamless shopping platform or consumer-centric omni-channel strategy which we have implemented.”

Meanwhile, SuperSports continues to provide the best online shopping experience for customers at Supersports.co.th. From our 23rd anniversary in 2020 to now, the number of visitors to our website reached 60 million, and more than 400,000 customers made a purchase of sporting goods online for a combined 1.7 million items making our online channel sales contribution account of 19% of total sales.

On SuperSports’ 24th anniversary, the company would like to invite everyone to join in the celebration by keeping themselves healthy and strong, and ready to cope with change. The Celebrate Our Heroes campaign will feature five special offers, the launch of a new commercial to express our gratitude to all our heroes, including medical professionals and everyone doing their part to help improve the situation, so we can start living a new normal life. The campaign will encourage everyone to exercise and to never stop moving to keep their bodies, hearts and minds strong to deal with any challenge.
