When it comes to the legacy of British make-up artistry, Wendy Rowe is one of the greats. The proof is catalogued by her sixteen year-long run as Artistic Consultant to Burberry Beauty, where she masterminded the quintessential British fashion brand’s backstage looks for years, as well as developed product innovations like the Fresh Glow and Contour Pen.
While her work has been captured on global fashion runways and magazine covers, it’s the styles she has created on her celebrity clientele, including Sienna Miller, Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne, that we are equally obsessed with. Here, the author and holistic beauty champion shares her favourite products.
The six products I can’t live without
My go-to moisturiser
The Cream, from £65, Augustinus Bader. I love this cream. It’s not too heavy and it’s nourishing. It’s moisturising whatever your skin type, and it achieves the perfect base.
The do-it-all wash
Geranium Hand and Body Wash, £25, Bamford. The entire Bamford range smells amazing. This product doesn’t dry out the skin on your hands or leave a greasy residue.
Luxurious bath product
Herbal Whey Bath Nourishing, £33, Susanne Kaufmann. This keeps the skin super-soft. It detoxifies, cleanses and restores the pH balance, while camomile and lime blossom calm.
For quick colouring
Color Fresh Mask, £15.70, Wella Professionals. This is ideal for travelling when I don’t have time to colour my hair. It provides temporary colour with no harsh lines.
A subtle lip glow
Rose Hermes, Rosy Lip Enhancer, Rose Tan, £58, Hermès. These Hermès lipsticks change the lip colour slightly without being an obvious lipstick. They are very chic and modern.
My favourite eyeliner
Satin Kajal Liner in Cocoa, £22, Victoria Beckham Beauty. These liners are super-soft and can be used as an eyeliner or an eyeshadow.
