When you get the opportunity to get a car like this and really start messing with it and changing things here and there and testing them out, it’s another level of a supercar and that’s what we like to do. The car was lowered about an inch from factory. Then this has our anarchy three piece wheel. This is what helps you achieve the speed on the track. Mickey Thompson 19 inch tire with an HR ER1O1 lightweight. This is a very light wheel. Then you have your Novatech exhaust which sticks out a little bit farther on than your factory. It allows better air flow for the car. We match the orange stripe in to match the interior. We did the turbos, the full exhaust, we did the engine management, we did filters. The amazing thing about these cars are great out-of-the-box, so with minor little changes they actually become spectacular. And today this car is being put through its paces. How fast can it go? Over 1/4 of a mile. The weather is not ideal. Today is a little hot in Florida, but this car should technically run 990 quarter mile to AN-899 quarter miles. The McLaren is unfortunate. You can’t do a burnout like most cars, so there’s no way to get the tires hot. So we utilize the tire warmers to get the tires up to temperature. Goes up to 160°, so we can go straight to the strip and make a good pass. With hot tires means sticky, Sticky means fast down the track. If you look at the factory car, people who test them out have done nine 50s, nine 40s. We have actually ran an 897 and numbers like these take some serious engine tweaks. We’ve actually taken this car and taken it from factory makes 700 horsepower to the wheels to 980 horsepower to the wheel. So you’re adding 280 more horsepower than it comes with when you’re already at 700. To get to 900, it takes a lot to get there. That’s almost half a second faster than a factory or when you put it in speed, it’s a lot of speed. We love the car and then we wanted to push it as far as we could. And then we are continuing to evolve them. Every day as something new comes out, we find out a new trick with new stuff like that. So it’s never ending involvement with these cars. Tires are optimum temperature. Time to see what this baby can do. None. The car ran A9489AT-150 mph. Car was quick tonight, but not as fast as it normally is. The weather’s not favorable for us tonight. It’s almost 98° in sunny Florida. Definitely it’s a better car to see when the weather’s cold, but for the temperatures and 1800 DA, it was actually pretty good running tonight.
