The meaning behind Holly Willoughby's 'spiritual and powerful' purple Dancing On Ice dress

Holly Willoughby “oozed confidence and poise” as she stunned in a purple sheath dress on this weekend’s Dancing On Ice, winning huge praise from fans.

The 40 year old was inundated with messages, calling her Sol AngelAnn gown “perfect”, and celebrity stylist Miranda Holder has exclusively now told OK! online the secrets behind her choice of outfit.

Miranda says: “Holly Willoughby looks every inch the Goddess in her body-con sparkly sheath dress, which makes a bold and powerful statement, positioning her as self-assured and in control.

“Purple is the colour of mystery, bravery and spirituality – the latter we know Holly favours as she recently launched her new esoteric website Wylde Moon.

Holly’s desire to show herself as the leading lady comes as she takes two weeks off from This Morning to film a brand new show.

Her co-host Phillip Schofield explained the reason behind Holly’s absence shortly after though as he shared she would be off for two weeks filming for her BBC show.

“She’s off with the ice man with the BBC at the moment, she’s off for two weeks as Rochelle [Humes] keeps her seat warm,” he said.

The mother of three looked sensational in her floor-length purple sparkly dress, which featured a high-neck and long-sleeved detailing at the weekend.

Holly styled her cropped signature blonde locks into a blow-dried loose hairdo, she added a slick of stunning make-up, which complemented her ensemble.

The star’s 7.5million followers went wild over the ensemble as they took to the comments section to gush over the “perfect” gown.

One person said: “Perfect in purple” followed with a heart emoji.
