Four-star quarterback George MacIntyre announced his commitment to Tennessee on Monday. He committed to the Vols over Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia, and Michigan.
The 6-foot-5.5, 185-pound quarterback is from Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a major in-state recruiting win for head coach Josh Heupel over rival Alabama, who made a strong push in MacIntyre’s recruitment this past season.
MacIntyre is the No. 16 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee, according to the On3 industry rankings. As a junior, MacIntyre completed 67% of his passes for 3,229 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and three rushing touchdowns.
Following MacIntyre’s commitment, Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC. He is the highest-rated commitment in the 2025 class for the Vols, joining four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer.
