Shadow Home Affairs Minister James Paterson has “no confidence at all” the Albanese government will “deliver” a future made in Australia.
Anthony Albanese will unveil a policy similar to the US Inflation Reduction Act, which will see increased government intervention in the economy.
The PM will announce the Future Made in Australia Act today.
“We all want a future made in Australia, but I’ve got absolutely no confidence at all that this government or the policies it has will deliver that,” Mr Paterson told Sky News Australia.
“Everything that this government has done in the last two years has taken us in the opposite direction – it’s made it harder to make things in Australia, it’s made it harder to do business in Australia.”
