After a disastrous finish to the 2023 season, 2024 should should get off to a pretty good start for the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to Nick Korte at Over The Cap, Philly is set to receive a number of compensatory picks in the upcoming draft after losing Javon Hargrave, Isaac Seumalo, Andre Dillard and T.J. Edwards to free agency.
Per Korte, the Eagles will get a third-round selection and three fifth-round selections come April to help replenish its roster. And if there wasn’t a limit, they’d have nine.
A number of other teams around the league are also projected to receive some of the league’s 32 compensatory picks including the 49ers, Jaguars, Bills and Rams:
- San Francisco (3rd-round pick, 5th-round pick, two 6th-round picks)
- Jacksonville (3rd-round pick, 6th-round pick)
- Buffalo (3rd-round pick)
- Los Angeles (5th-round pick, three 6th-round picks)
An official statement on the picks is expected to be shared by the NFL near the start of free agency. Expect Howie Roseman and the Eagles to try to make the most of their selections as they attempt to get back on track next year.
