The 2ft long 'Rambo' knife 'used to murder father-of-one': Jurors are shown photo of weapon found by police after man 'was stabbed to death by three teenagers on his own doorstep yards from his partner and young child'

Frantisek Olah, 31, was allegedly murdered on the doorstep of his own home Je Daine Carty, Cohan Daley and Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra are all accused of murderKelsea Byrne, Kaysha Saunders and Abbie Mills allegedly helped them flee All six teens deny the charges against them - the trial in Hampshire continues

Police have released a photograph of a 2ft long ‘Rambo knife’ allegedly used by three teenage boys to murder a father-of-one who a court heard was stabbed up to 20 times on his doorstep.

Frantisek Olah, 31, was allegedly butchered just yards from his horrified partner and their young child.

Je Daine Carty, Cohan Daley and Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra, all 18, are accused of ‘mercilessly’ murdering Mr Olah and even laughing about it as they left the scene.

Three 18-year-old girls – Kelsea Byrne, Kaysha Saunders and Abbie Mills – helped them flee from the scene and hide evidence, a court heard.

As the six teenagers stand trial, jurors have been shown a photo of one of the knives found by police which was allegedly used to murder Mr Olah in Basingstoke, Hants.

The image, released today by Hampshire Constabulary, shows the 67cm-long ‘Rambo knife’ which had a part-serrated 43cm blade.

Mr Olah was ‘catastrophically’ murdered and stabbed up to ’20 times’, Winchester Crown Court, Hants, heard.

One of the suspects later suggested to a friend that Mr Olah had been killed following a dispute over drugs and because ‘he was being mean to them,’ the jury heard.

Following the alleged attack late on May 22 this year, Mr Olah – who allegedly knew Carty through cannabis deals – was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours after a ‘profuse’ loss of blood, with stab wounds up to 12cm deep.

Opening the case, Sarah Jones KC said: ‘On May 22 this year, Frantisek Olah was relaxing at home with his partner, Chelsey Lee, and their young child – he was about to turn 31 years old.

‘This is a case about how these young men arrived at his door and mercilessly cut him down.

‘At around 11pm three young men arrived at his door and within an astonishingly short amount of time, he was lying just inside his own front door bleeding to death from numerous stab wounds.

‘By the time emergency services arrived it was too late and at just after midnight, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘The defendants’ subsequent behaviour seems to suggest they may have enjoyed and revelled in the powers of ruthlessness that appear to have possessed them.

‘Their girlfriends, or friends, tried to help them get away from the area and hide incriminating evidence.’

Ms Jones KC continued: ‘The crown say the speed and ferocity of the attack meant the three knew what was going to happen and the part they were about to play.

‘Mr Olah obviously cannot tell us what happened, but his partner, [Ms Lee], will do her best.

‘Chelsey was sitting watching something on TV before there was a bang on the door – not just a knock.

‘He went to the door but then she heard an even louder bang and heard Mr Olah shouting, like he was in pain.

‘She came through to the hallway and saw him lying on the floor with one of the men already in and two right behind.’

The court heard Ms Lee described the first intruder, who she knew to be Carty, to be carrying a knife, describing it as ‘a Rambo knife’.

Ms Jones KC said: ‘She heard [Carty] say something about giving them the keys – but in fact the car wasn’t taken.

‘[Carty] was stabbing into the upper part of his body and Mr Kamarra-Jarra, he too was stabbing and then the third.

‘They were all stabbing, repeatedly and at speed – she thinks they stabbed him about 20 times before she shouted at Mr Carty who came towards her.’

Ms Lee then retreated into the garden to get help from a neighbour, shouting ‘there’s people in my house with knives’.

One neighbour giving evidence to police said one of the attackers ‘appeared to laugh’ as they fled the scene.

The court heard details from Mr Olah’s post-mortem – in which it was revealed he had been subject to stab wounds that caused ‘catastrophic damage’, with one stab wound penetrating 12cm deep, hitting his lung.

Jurors heard that after the attack there were a series of calls between the men and young women and shown various CCTV images appearing to show the cars of Byrne and Saunders driving to and from various locations with the attackers.

Ms Jones KC said Byrne and Saunders were together, ‘waiting to be called’ to assist the men and ‘ferry them around’.

All three youths, all from Basingstoke, deny murder. Byrne, Saunders and Mills, also from Basingstoke, deny assisting an offender.

The trial – which is expected to last eight weeks – continues.
