Una Healy shows off new figure and says she ‘feels better’ after gaining ‘a few kg’

Una Healy has showed off her new figure and revealed how she “feels better” after gaining “a few kg”.

The Saturdays singer shared a post on Instagram where she is pictured standing in front of a mirror in a gym wearing black leggings, a tank top and white runners.

With her hair slicked back in a plait, the Tipperary mum-of-two updated fans on the progress she’s made during workouts.

“I’ve gained a few kg these past few months,” she explained. “I’ve been keeping fit and healthy and lifting heavier… I feel a lot better now I have to say.”

Una and her two kids, Aoife and Tadhg celebrated her daughter’s Confirmation just last Saturday.

In various photos shared on Instagram Aoife and Tadhg are seen smiling as they pose beside each other while in another Una smiles at Aoife outside the church.

The 42-year-old captioned her post: “Aoife Belle Farah Grace Foden. Happy Confirmation Day xxx.”

Una’s friends and fans left lovely comments, with one writing: “Beautiful girl… very like her mammy.”

Another wrote: “Beautiful Una. Absolutely love those heels”, while another added: “She is your absolute twin Una.”

Una is currently preparing for her role as a judge for the “Rose of Tralee for men” aka The Westmeath Bachelor Competition, taking place later his summer.

The 2024 bachelor competition will be held in Mullingar on August 2.

“The Westmeath Bachelor Competition is going to be great fun! I’m really looking forward to the evening. Can’t wait to team up with my fellow judges Louis, Anne and Garron, I am sure sparks will fly!” said Una.

The Saturdays star will join comedian and singer Garron Noone as a judge alongside returning host Louis Walsh and legendary broadcaster, Anne Doyle.

Una said she is “very excited to get her judging hat on for the night and put the hopeful Bachelors through their paces” with the rest of the panel.

Garron made some funny comments regarding contestant food choices.

“Dare I say I know a thing or two about being a bachelor so I will know exactly what to look for and what to avoid!” he said.

“If you have pineapple on your pizza… immediate no. If you use your air fryer to make tea, also no.

“But if you appreciate the humble Twix bar as much as me, I think we are onto something. I’m really looking forward to working with Louis, Anne and Úna too – they’re all legends,” he added.

A statement from The Westmeath Bachelor Competition said: “ It’s time for the men of Ireland to step into the spotlight and show the nation they have what it takes to be the face of Ireland’s modern man!

“Age is not a barrier, once you are over 18. Last year’s bachelor finalists were whittled down from hundreds of entrants who had to undergo rigorous questions from Louis, Anne and the other two celebrity judges Pippa and Brian Ormond.

“In the end 29-year-old, charismatic Ciaran Clarke from Rosemount, Westmeath triumphed and was crowned winner after impressing the judges and wowing the audience with his self-penned song which he performed on guitar and harmonica.

“Working in a legal firm in Dublin, Ciaran revealed his lifetime ambition was to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. And he certainly packed some punch with his performance, captivating the audience.”

Along with the title of Westmeath Bachelor and the ambassadorial role, the winner receives an all-inclusive holiday, a trophy “and more.”
