Sharon Osbourne confirms husband Ozzy WILL perform two last concerts as a final goodbye to fans - after rocker was forced to pull out of gig due to health concerns

Sharon Osbourne has revealed her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne will be performing two final concerts in Birmingham before he packs it up for good.

Ozzy was forced to pull out of future live gigs last year after he required surgery after a fall, amid his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Speaking on her Cut The Crap tour in London on Sunday, Sharon confirmed Ozzy’s return to the stage.

She said: ‘He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like “I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly”.’

She added: ‘We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from. His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke yeah.

‘He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy, he just draws you in.’

Last year, Ozzy cancelled his performance at the Power Trip Festival in California, which would have been his first gig in five years.

Announcing the ‘painful’ decision, he said in a statement: ‘As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.

‘My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.

‘Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a****.

‘The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.

‘Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support.

‘I love you all and I will see you soon. God Bless, Ozzy.’

The singer announced in February 2023 that he would officially be retiring from touring and released a heartfelt statement to express the decision.

He had stated at the time: ‘This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.’ The star had taken a fall in 2019 in a bathroom, causing him to injure the vertebrae in his neck and needing surgery.

‘My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine,’ he wrote, adding that after ‘three operations’ his ‘body is still physically weak’.

‘I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time,’ Ozzy graciously told his fans, but explained he would have to cancel his upcoming tour dates. He had been set to go on tour beginning in May.

‘Never would have I imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,’ he typed out, and later concluded by thanking his close friends and family, as well as his ‘fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all…’

However, the following month, while talking on an episode of Sirius XM’s Ozzy Speaks, the rocker revealed that he’s, ‘been working my guts out to try and get back on my feet’.

‘But right now, if you said to me: ‘Can you go on the road in a month?’ I couldn’t say yes,’ he added. ‘I mean, if I could tour, I’d tour. But right now I can’t book tours because right now I don’t think I could pull them off.’

He then admitted that, ‘If I get okay today, if the doctor said to me today, ‘Oh, you can tour,’ it would take another six months to get it together, you know?’

The Paranoid rocker additionally got candid about his health battle and revealed, ‘I feel like a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest.’

‘The only thing I’ve got that keeps me going is making records. But I can’t do that forever. I gotta get out there, you know?’ But he added that he is still in ‘constant pain.’

‘I do to the best I can to stay away from the pain medication, but there are times when I go, ‘You know, I’ve gotta take something. I mean, last week I couldn’t…I’ve been sleeping great, and all of a sudden for two back-to-back nights. I never slept a wink.’

In January 2020, the star, who is also known as the Prince of Darkness, revealed that he has Parkinson’s in an emotional interview with his wife Sharon.

The then-71-year-old sat down with Good Morning America to reveal he could no longer hide his health struggles and that he is on a ‘whole host’ of medications to treat his nerve pain.

It began, he said, when he suffered a fall in 2019 and had to undergo surgery for it. After that, he started experiencing nerve pain and doctors have had a hard time pinpointing whether the fall, the surgery, or his condition are to blame for his condition.

Insisting he was ‘far from’ his deathbed – as had been misreported – he said he wanted to ‘own up’ to his condition for the sake of his fans.

‘It has been terribly challenging for us,’ he said of the last year. ‘I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves. I found out that I have a mild form of….’ he said before looking to his wife to finish his sentence.

Sharon added, ‘It’s Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.’

Michael J. Fox is another celebrity who also suffers from the disorder, which targets the central nervous system and can affect mobility.

In June 2022, Ozzy underwent a spinal surgery with Sharon giving an update to fans shortly afterwards.

‘Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him,’ the TV personality concluded.

Later that same year, the Crazy Train singer jumped to the stage to perform during an NFL performance in September 2022.
