Chocolate eggs, butter and even chicken curry are among the items you might want to check this week after supermarkets around the UK issued a number of safety warnings.

Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and more have been forced to recall the products in in recent weeks – and customers are urged not to eat them but instead return them to the store for a full refund. You do not need to have your receipt to get your money back. When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

This is an update to include additional Kinder products and best before dates. The products have been linked to a Salmonella outbreak – and the Belgian authorities have ordered the firm to close a factor over the issue – which has seen children in several countries fall ill.
