LNP MP Keith Pitt says the idea Snowy Hydro can have “zero impact” on the environment is “just farcical”.
According to a new report, Snowy Hydro is failing to meet environmental standardds critical to the $5.9 billion pumped hydro project’s conditions of approval.

“The only way you can zero impact is to do nothing,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“They’ve got to have 20 kilometres of underground tunnels – that will cause subsidence.
“The idea that there’s zero impact is just farcical, but they do have to meet the requirements of what they’ve signed up to.”
