Teenager Jarvis Smallman captures ‘The Joker' in the sky over Hopetoun

A teenage photographer has captured a haunting image during a sunset in his hometown.

Jarvis Smallman, 14, snapped the remarkable photo from Hopetoun, about 600 kilometres south east of Perth, last week.

The pic, which he describes as ‘spooky’ appears to contain a face in a cloud formation, with a rainbow poking out at the bottom.

“I think it looks like the Joker so ‘The Joker’ would be a good title,” Jarvis told PerthNow.

“Some people say they can see a lion face on the left as well.”

Jarvis posted the image to his Instagram account, and it certainly shocked his followers!

“That’s magic. Right place, right time,” one person commented.

Another also saw the ‘Joker’ resemblance.

“Great shot, I see the ‘Joker’ in those clouds,” they wrote.

The talented photographer, who hopes to pursue his passion as a career, certainly doesn’t have a lack of beautiful landscapes to shoot along WA’s pituresque south coast.

“I got into photography because I used to take pictures of the ocean when we were diving and surfing and loved it, so I guess I just kept getting better at it,” he said.
