Taryn Charles dazzled the Britain’s Got Talent judges with her “unique” voice
A special educational needs teacher, who uses music to help her students, has secured a coveted golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent.
Taryn Charles, 39, dazzled the judges with her “unique” voice and rendition of the classic song (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.
Her performance, shown on Saturday’s episode of the ITV show, received a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges
Judge Bruno Tonioli described her as a “very special person”.

Taking to the stage, Ms Charles said she wanted to audition because she loves to “make people smile”.
She also said one of her students had come to support her.
With the audience on their feet for a second time after her performance, they encouraged Mr Tonioli to press the golden buzzer, guaranteeing her a place in the semi-finals.
As the golden confetti fell, Ms Charles dropped to her knees while her student, their mother and Mr Tonioli went on stage to congratulate her.
‘A little star’
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge said he had been initially concerned about her song choice and was comparing her version with Carole King’s, who co-wrote the song.
He said: “You made me forget about her version.
“You made it so much your own, with so much feeling, and the colour of your voice is unique and you’re a very, very special person my darling.”
Head judge Simon Cowell said he could see she was nervous and felt someone might have told her she was not good enough in the past, which Ms Charles said was true.
He said: “Boy did you prove that person wrong and that is what that golden buzzer is all about, you are a little star.”
