The iPhone 16 Plus SE and iPhone 16 SE might launch this year alongside 3 more models. With anticipation building for Apple’s next iPhone lineup, leaked schematics suggest that the tech giant might introduce five distinct models in the upcoming iPhone 16 series, according to tipster Majin Bu. The leak indicates a potential integration of the iPhone SE line into this year’s flagship lineup, offering consumers a diverse range of choices. While the next-generation iPhones will likely be announced later this year in September, specs and prices have leaked online months before the event.

According to the renders, the iPhone 16 SE and iPhone 16 Plus SE might come with a single pill-shaped rear camera layout that will look similar to the iconic iPhone X design. Meanwhile, the regular iPhone 16 could feature a dual rear camera unit, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will likely pack three cameras at the back. These designs mark a departure from the square-shaped camera bump seen in the current iPhone 15 series.Â

Speculation surrounding the specifications of these models also suggests varying screen sizes and refresh rates. The iPhone 16 SE may offer a 6.1-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the iPhone 16 Plus SE could sport a larger 6.7-inch screen at a 60Hz refresh rate. Both models are rumored to arrive with Apple’s Dynamic Island feature. So, you can expect to se a punch-hole design on the front of these models as well.Â

Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro variants may feature a bigger 6.3-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max potentially offering a larger 6.9-inch display also with a 120Hz refresh rate. If 120Hz support comes to standard models as well, then it will likely improve the experience of users who can afford to buy only non-Pro models as they are much cheaper.Â

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series is likely to be equipped with the advanced A18 Pro chipsets, the natural progression from the A17 Pro SoC. If leaks are to be believed, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus could pack the A17 chip. The iPhone 16 Pro models are said to get an improved 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, whereas the Pro Max model is said to get a periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, as per leaks.

In terms of pricing, the tipster also suggested that the iPhone 16 SE could start at $699 (approximately Rs 58,000) for the 128GB model, while the iPhone 16 SE Plus might be priced at $799 (around Rs 66,000) for the 256GB variant. The vanilla iPhone 16 with 256GB storage is speculated to retail for $699, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256GB storage could be priced at $999 (approximately Rs 83,000) and $1099 (roughly Rs 91,000) respectively.
