Summer vacations are about to begin and families are already planning on where to head out to spend time together. In such a situation, the Indian Railways has come up with a special notification if you are interested in taking a spiritual trip across the country. The Indian Railways will also offer passengers luxurious facilities on the train and will take you to places associated with Lord Rama.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Tourism is offering a “Shri Ramayana Yatra” theme-based pilgrimage tour by Bharat Gaurav Tourist train on the Ramayana circuit. It will be running AC Deluxe trains for summer vacations. There will be a few types of coaches- AC First Coupe, AC First, Second and Third Class. The journey will commence running on June 7. The entire trip will be of 17 nights and 18 days. As per the notification issued, passengers will be able to visit 14 cities of the country and visit 39 places of worship.
The train will be operational from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi. The train will travel from Delhi and cover cities like Ayodhya, Nandigram, Buxar, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Kanchipuram and Bhadrachalam. For the convenience of the passengers, there are several options for them to board or alight from the Shri Ramayana Yatra train. Apart from Safdarjung, one can also board the train from Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Lucknow and can alight at Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantt, Mathura and Safadarjung stations.
The fees vary for all four categories of coaches and can be booked for single, double or triple-sharing passengers. The First AC Coupe package will cost Rs 1,66,810. The First AC package will be Rs 1,45,745, the Second AC for Rs 1,34,710 and the Third AC for Rs 94,600. These are the charges after a 33 per cent discount.
Ayodhya– Rama Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi and Sarayu Ghat.
Nandigram– Bharat-Hanuman Temple and Bharatkund.
Janakpur– Ram Janaki Temple, Dhanush Dham Temple and Parshuram Kunda.
Sitamarhi- Janaki Temple and Punaura Dham.
Buxar- Ramrekha Ghat and Rameshwar Nath Temple.
Varanasi- Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan mandir, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Ganga Aarti.
Sita Samahit Sthal, Sitamarhi – Sita Mata Temple.
Prayagraj- Sri Bharadwaj Ashram, Ganga-Yamuna Sangam and Hanuman Temple.
Shringverpur- Shringi Rishi Ashram and Shanta Devi Temple and Ramchaura.
Chitrakoot- Gupt Godavari and Sati Anusuya Temple.
Nashik- Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling Temple, Panchavati, Sita Gufa, Shree Kalaram Temple.
Hampi: Anjanadri Hill, Virupaksha Temple and Vittala Temple.
Rameswaram- Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi.
Bhadrachalam- Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy Temple and Namakkal Anjaneyar temple.
