A woman has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in Sydney’s southwest.
A family of four was inside the Canley Heights home on Fernlea Place when the woman and two others allegedly forced their way into property about 4am on Thursday.
But a father, who was at home with his partner and two children, managed to detain the woman himself.
The two other alleged offenders fled on foot.
Police soon arrived and arrested the woman, believed to be aged in her 30s.
She was taken to Liverpool Hospital as a precautionary measure and was under police guard.
A crime scene has been set up and inquiries are ongoing.
