On Saturday, the Socialist Left’s (SV) party leader Audun Lysbakken stated that the SV would be a powerful factor in Norwegian politics in the coming years.
“We have reached our goal,” Lysbakken said in a speech to SV’s national board meeting on Saturday.
He pointed out that SV made solid progress in the election on September 13. In addition, the goal of securing a new majority was reached, and this majority is dependent on SV, Lysbakken stated.
According to him, it will be difficult to find a way to a majority in the new Norwegian parliament (Storting) without the SV.
The SV is now participating in talks with the Labor Party and the Center Party on the formation of a new red-green government.
