Among her past boyfriends, Kaye Abad admitted it was John Lloyd Cruz whom she had most difficulty recovering from.

The actress revealed this on Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” saying this is because they had to work together on a television series following their split.

“Ngayon ko lang din nare-recall eh. Nag-’Tabing Ilog,’ hiwalay na kami. So nahirapan ako mag-move on kasi magkatrabaho kami, magka-love team kami. Umabot sa point na magasawa kami sa ‘Tabing Ilog,’ so nahirapan talaga [ako],” she said.

According to the actress, John Lloyd had a girlfriend soon after their relationship and began ignoring her because the new girlfriend was getting jealous. “So nahihirapan ako, Tito Boy,” Kaye said.

While she did understand where the girl was coming from — they were exes paired as a love team, topbilling a series — Kaye said “nahirapan ako mag-move on kasi magkasama kami sa trabaho.”

During the interview, she admitted to having feelings for the actor, while they were working “because we broke up not because wala nang love.”

Kaye refused to disclose details on their breakup. She also refused to say who the new girlfriend was. “Secret! Anak ng pulitko,” she said.

John Lloyd is currently in a relationship with artist Isabel Santos. He also has a son, Elias, with celebrity Ellen Adarna, with whom he has a co-parenting setup.

Meanwhile, Kaye is happily married to Paul Jake Castillo. They have two sons: Joaquin and Iñigo.

Kaye appeared on “Fast Talk” to promote her new movie, “A Journey,” which starts streaming on Netflix Friday.
