Married At First Sight’s Lucinda Light has addressed rumours her accent is fake and spoken candidly about her sexual connection with husband Timothy Smith.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Mail Australia, the free-spirited bride, 43, admitted trolls have accused her of being a ‘fraud’ and faking her accent on the show.

Addressing the criticism, she replied: ‘I’m just me. My mantra through all of this was to be absolutely, authentically me.’

‘[Critics say] she’s an actress. She’s a fraud. She’s a fake. She is not the real deal and all of that sort of stuff. You know, her voice that’s put on.’

‘I am who I am because of my wild life experience, from theatre to traveling the world, to having entrepreneurial business, to having an amazing supportive family, to all the things, you know, that I’ve done has culminated for me to be who I am.’

‘Yes, I probably do seem like a big character, but I’m just me, you know, that’s all I can be. But I certainly enjoy everybody for them and their individual expression.’

Lucinda then addressed the issues around her ‘slow burn’ sexual connection with groom Timothy.

When asked if the couple, who had experienced friction on-air over their lack of sex, would see their relationship progress during Intimacy Week, Lucinda remained coy.

‘I think we’ve got another, if not months, of orcs and dorks ahead of us, I’ve gotta be honest.’

‘There’s lots of laughs, but yeah… in Tim’s words, it’s a slow burn.’

Light also admitted her apparently higher sex drive made her ‘look like a stage 10 clinger’ on-air.

She then reflected on their struggles to connect early on due to Tim not liking physical touch, and admitted the show’s editing had exacerbated the problem.

‘I think people are all stitched together in a condensed way, it’s like, too much. Especially for a guy that I don’t think was naturally attracted to me, needed time and is not into touch.

‘Just generally, you know, in retrospect, now that I know Tim, I wish I’d given him a lot more space. But what you don’t know, you don’t know, you know?’

She sweetly described their journey as a ‘beautiful love story’ and hinted that Tim will ‘definitely’ let his guard down in upcoming scenes.

The reality TV star, whose legal name is Lucinda Reilly, also spoke about the decision to use her stage name Lucinda Light on the show, saying it is the name she has been using for 10 years.

‘I don’t even really see it as a stage name, that’s the name that resonates with my soul,’ she said.

‘I’m a performer, I’m an entertainer, I put stage shows on. I’m a celebrant. I’m an MC and Lucinda means light actually, so it’s just light, light.

‘It’s like just a bit of a joke and a bit of a fun name that I love to roll around with and I feel sort of represents the fact that I love to light people up and sort of spark their remembrance of their inner beauty.

‘Like I love to mirror our people’s gorgeousness to them. You know that’s one of the things I, I love to do. Lucinda Light is just a bit of a play on all of the things.

‘That I am and do and, and I’m happy to stand behind that, you know? I’ll be rolling with that name for a long time to come and I really don’t see the crime in having a pseudo name.

‘Being a human and a sovereign being on this planet, we can do whatever we want that feels true to us.’

Speaking further about her journey with Tim on the show, Lucinda also teased that her husband brought some dramatic moments to the dinner parties.

She said: ‘Tim’s thing, he’s an extrovert, he’s hilarious with people, he’s big bulls**t for almost, he takes no c**p, he calls it as it is, and I think a lot of the dinner parties, in his way, were his time to shine, really.

‘I’m much less of a confrontational person, I mean, I certainly had my moments, but yeah, Tim really rules.’

When asked who she is still in contact with from the show, Lucinda said she remains close with Andrea but was critical of some other contestants, who she said have a ‘lot of growing up to do’.

‘There’s a small handful that really have a lot of growing up to do. I mean, I’m just going to name, Jack, Tori, Collins, Ben,’ she shared.

‘I think there’s a lot of humble pie and a lot of looking and a lot of self growth that needs to happen there with those guys. And I’m very happy to say that out loud.

‘But genuinely, you know, most of the cast I really, really enjoyed. And I mean that.’
