Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly eyeing a new goalkeeper named Stanely Nwabili. The Chippa United star is proving his quality at Africa’s biggest football stage.
KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET EARNS PRAISE
Nwabili enjoyed a stunning start for Chippa United in the league this season. The 27-year-old further grabbed the number one role for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
With two brilliant performances against Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast so far, Nwabili has won the heart of Greg Etafia.
“So far so good (for Nwabali). Let us see how the tournament goes,” the TS Galaxy goalkeeper coach said via iDiski Times.
“The more they go in the tournament, and he performs very well – I think he has the size, the present, I think a European team will enquire about him.
“I just wish he can continue to do well, but he has everything to be a top ‘keeper,” the Nigerian concluded.
NO AMAKHOSI PLAYERS AT AFCON
It’s still hard to believe. Chiefs don’t have a single player at Bafana Bafana. David Kennameyer says the problem is deep.
Known as ‘Day by Day’ during his time as a top left-back for Chiefs and Bafana, Kannemeyer says Amakhosi have deep internal issues.
“I said it early last year and I am saying it now, there are problems at the club and those problems are bigger than football,” Kennameyer said via Soccer Laduma, as per Goal. – READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
