REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANADO — Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika memperkirakan sebagian besar wilayah Sulawesi Utara berpotensi cuaca ekstrem hingga beberapa hari ke depan.

“Kami berharap warga tetap berhati-hati apabila melakukan aktivitas saat cuaca ekstrem,” ucap Koordinator Bidang Observasi dan Informasi BMKG Stasiun Meteorologi Sam Ratulangi Manado Ben A Molle di Manado, Ahad (21/4/2024).

Dia mengatakan, sebagian besar kabupaten dan kota di Sulut diperkirakan hujan intensitas sedang hingga lebat yang dapat disertai petir dan angin kencang. BMKG akan memutakhirkan kondisi cuaca kabupaten dan kota yang berpotensi cuaca ekstrem melalui kanal informasi yang terverifikasi.

Dalam kondisi cuaca ekstrem warga diharapkan mewaspadai banjir dan tanah longsor serta pohon tumbang di daerah bantaran sungai maupun berbukit.

Ben menjelaskan, di tanggal 22 April 2024 potensi cuaca ekstrem di Kota Manado, Kota Bitung, Kota Kotamobagu, Kota Tomohon, Kabupaten Minahasa, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, dan Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe.

Di tanggal 23 April 2024 Kota Manado, Kota Bitung, Kota Kotamobagu, Kota Tomohon, Kabupaten Minahasa, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara, dan Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe.

Sementara di tanggal 24 April 2024 kondisi serupa diprediksi terjadi di Kota Kotamobagu, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe dan Kabupaten Kabupaten Talaud.
