Strikers 1945 flies onto Xbox One and Series X|S

Anyone who has wanted to take in Strikers 1945 on the latest consoles, has been able to do just that for a while. In fact, it was back in 2018 when the ACA NEOGEO version of Strikers 1945 hit Xbox. Now though, we see the game ditch the NEOGEO tag and roll out once again on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. 

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S right now, Strikers 1945 is a vertical scrolling shooter; one that just so happened to first release way back in 1995. 

So far, so similar to before, but whilst the previous NEOGEO version dropped in via Plus version, this one is the original Psikyo edition. And that makes alllllllll the difference. 

Priced at £7.49, if you’ve ever wanted to take control of a fighter plane that looks to put a stop to the evil doings of a secret organisation, you got it here. Although, you had it back in 1995 too, so don’t expect this one to be wowing the modern gaming crowd. 

What else do we get? Well, aside from a ton of shooting opportunities, there are online rankings to enjoy, multiple difficulty options to play around with, and some serious heart-stopping boss battles to take in. Basically though, you’ll want to shoot until you can shoot no more with Strikers 1945. 

Throw in various game modes – Arcade, Score Attack – and multiple plane types, and you’ve got your everyday bog-standard retro vertical scrolling shooter. Make of that what you will but we’ll be paying up and getting involved pretty pronto.
